If you use your cellphone a lot I’ve got a great tip for you. Go out and buy an “ear bud” headset. These are different from traditional headsets as they have no visible microphone or bulky loop that fits over your head. The whole thing is a little bud that comfortably goes right in your ear and that’s it. It’s very cool and works extremely well. I’ve been using it on my cellphone now for about a year and never leave home without it. Using an ear bud headset while you’re in the car completely alters the entire cellphone experience. Because you don’t have to hold the cellphone with your hands or bend your neck, driving is much safer and you can talk for long periods without ever getting tired. I used to hate getting caught in traffic but now I’m always on the phone when I’m on the road. It feels great to be so productive and you can too.

If you live in the US you can get a free headset for most models of mobile phone from this site: www.freeheadset.org They are set-up to promote wireless phone safety and charge a flat $3.95 shipping fee.

These are great! I know you’re doing a great deal of work negotiating with buyers and what not, you have family to attend to, and you’re also doing an enormously valuable public service with all your other work, so I really can’t asky for anything more… but I think this comuter minute tips podcast is really cool too, and I hate to see it disappear! It could really catch on if it could be kept up.

I’ve been using computers to do graphic design for almost 10 years now, and I’ve never considered replacing my desk calculator by using a spreadsheet accept for really big things. But you make an excellent point. I don’t know how many “quick” calculations I’ve had to redo before, or how many times I’ve needed to write down my result, to run it through another calculation. Spreadsheets are perfect for even small stuff, but it never crossed my mind. Brilliant!

You’re just a big helper my friend, and there is no better gift to the world than that. Thanks for everything.

The only drawback is that you look like a complete idiot babbling to yourself when you use your phone this way in public
